I wish it will rain soon.  I am tired of watering the plants everyday.  My older daughter planted some corn, pumpkin and acorn squash.

There has been a lot happening since I last posted. I celebrated my 60th birthday and received lots of flowers, plants, and trees from my family and friends. We have been busy planting all the plants and trees in the garden.  There is a robin that made a nest in our gazebo. Shilpa climbed up to take a photo of the eggs and we have been seeing the robin sitting on them. We are excited for baby birds.  I have had lots of visitors. Sushma and Shilpa's friends brought their babies and I really enjoyed seeing them. Shilpa's friend Lavina and her husband Luke drove from Pontotoc, MS so that I could meet their baby and I could not believe they did that for me. Most recently, my siblings came along with some of my nieces and nephews. On the day this photo was taken we all wore two braids, even my mom, which made me laugh.  This past Sunday, Sushma and Shilpa's mentors came to our house for a small PhD graduation ceremony because it was too difficult for me to attend their graduat...

Avocado from  California Blue Jay on our deck Curry leaves plants in my cousin house. Vegetables from my garden Chameli flowers P Pears from my garden Curry leaves plant  Donda kayalu from moms garden .  It is a vine and stays even in winter. I went to California for my uncle daughter's wedding.  I stayed with my mom for a few days and visited my cousin's garden.  I enjoyed the weather in California better than Alabama.  It is nice to visit but I do not want to live there.  I miss writing in my blog but in Birmingham we have no rain from a long time.
